Inspired by my nostalgic fondness of the Little House on the Prairie series, I designed dust covers for the first three books in the series, with the intention of accurately representing the author Laura Ingall’s focus on memories and life lessons. Visually my goal was to invoke feelings of warmth, childhood, and family. The artwork incorporates both Garth Williams’ original illustration of the series, as well as additional illustrations by me, created first by hand and colored in procreate.
